Gender, adaptation, and disaster risk reduction

Women bring unique capabilities and knowledge to the adaptation and disaster risk reduction efforts that could lead to greater returns for environmental sustainability across SDGs. Incorporating gender perspectives into adaptation and disaster risk reduction and management policy and projects through improved collaboration among all members of society, including men and women, would lead to the greater equitability, effectiveness and sustainability of adaptation and disaster risk reduction efforts.
