Racing Against the Tide – Climate Change, Disaster Risk Insurance and Hucksters – Grenada Case Study

This review will examine three components to developing a substantial and effective solution that can help reduce the impact of disasters and mitigate risk by improving the resilience of hucksters in Grenada, using Climate and Disaster Risks Finance and Insurance (CDRFI). First, the three-pronged approach will examine the climatic risks and challenges hucksters face as well as barriers to accessing CDRFI. Secondly, this paper will consider channels for information dissemination and how strengthening this component will improve access to CDRFI. Finally, it will discuss building a network of partnerships with governments, third sector organisations, and private partners to increase accessibility to insurance instruments.
